Xander is rescue #5178 from ARPH, (Aussie Rescue and Placement Helpline). He was turned into a high-kill shelter in West Virginia, by his former family, due to him “chewing”. ARPH pulled him out of the shelter, and he went into a foster home. I found out about him immediately, and drove 500 miles roundtrip to WV to meet him, and to take him home. He was a year old, and crazy for tennis balls. He walked into the house, found the flyball box and was in love. He started flyball and agility training soon after. He’s chewed up exactly one item since he’s been in the house.

Xander made his flyball debut in November of 2002, along with teammates Micah and Bailey, and earned his FM in November of 2003, his one year anniversary. Nothing phases Xander when he runs, not even his mom talking to him during the line-up. He’s steady and fast, with times around 4.6-5.0. He can run any position, it doesn’t matter to him…and he can pass any dog. He’s very much a point and shoot dog.
