Tux
My name is Tuxedo. My closest friends call me Tux,
Little Bugger, or just plain Bugger. I was born
February 2, 2001 in Colwood, BC. My mom was a black
american cocker spaniel, but nobody's quite sure who or what my father was,
so I'm what's called a Mix. I joined my new family when
I was 8 weeks old. I am quite possibly the most handsome little black dog you'll ever
meet. Everyone agrees that my smile is my best feature. All I have to do is
flash my pearly whites and I'll have you eating out of my paw.
My humans are Kathy, Rob, Cody and Ashlie. I also have an older canine sister, Shadow. I'm laid back as far as dogs go. My favourite thing to do is eat; I'll eat just about anything. I also like to cuddle, sleep, lay in the sun and of course play flyball. I prefer to leave the obsessive-compulsive thing to the border collies.
I started playing flyball in 2002. My personal
trainer, Joanne thought that at 14 inches, I would be a good height dog for
our team. I caught on
pretty quick and ran my first race in May 2002. Now I have a few titles under
my belt, and I quite enjoy myself when I'm playing flyball.
I'm spunky, but not particularly into running fast. Every once in a while I
kick it up a little to make the humans happy. I ran my personal best time of 4.47 seconds - with a pass! -
just a short time ago. My average time is around 5 seconds though, and that
suits me just fine. I don't want to over-exert myself if I don't have to.
