Shadow

My name is Shadow. My human friends sometimes call me Crash or Blondie, but I'm not sure why. I am a petite border collie, weighing 30 pounds and standing about 18 inches high. I was born August 19, 1999 in Cobble Hill, BC, where I lived with my breeder until I was six months old. My humans, Rob and Kathy, came to look at my sister but she was a little too shy for them. As soon as they saw me it was love at first sight. It was the best day of my life (and theirs too I'm sure), with the exception of the car ride home which I did not "stomach" well at all. I'm over that car sickness thing now. In fact, I love a good car ride every now and then.

My family consists of me and my humans Rob, Kathy, Cody and Ashlie. I also have the world's most annoying sibling, Tuxedo. He thinks he's all that, but I am definitely top dog in this family. I'm pretty easy going for a border collie. I like to hang with my family and friends, go to the beach and the park, chase squirrels and cats. My favourite thing to do when I'm not at flyball is play soccer. I am the best goalie on the street. I love playing with the kids and giving them a run for their money.

Flyball is my very favourite thing to do, and I'm pretty good at it if I do say so myself. I've been playing flyball since 2000. The first year I spent training my humans so I didn't get to race much, but once they caught on it was smooth sailing. I love to race, and sometimes I can go really fast. My fastest time is a 3.86 but my average time is just over 4 seconds. Our team is the BEST - we have so much fun and I hope to play flyball with them for a long, long time.
