Rio

Rio Hey there, I'm Rio. Mom calls me Rio Badeo. I live with my humans Julia, Dillon, Paul and Davin, and my little canine brother Roc. I was born on April 10th, 2001 and started flyball training in September of the same year. I really enjoy flyball, but I'm not your typical border collie; I'm very easy going, even laid back. well, at least until you lock me in my crate while the other dogs are playing flyball. Everyone can recognize my scream.

Mom and I found out about flyball through our obedience trainer. Mom thought it looked like fun, so we gave it a try. I was pretty scared of the box at first, although I was only five months old. Mom would bring the box home to help me get used to the bang, and at practice, I would have to stay by the box while the other dogs ran. It took about a month for me to get comfortable with the noise, but I've been nuts about flyball ever since. I'll run for anyone, and I even know where to line up, even when I'm not supposed to be running. I am very consistent, usually running at 4.3 seconds; I'm hoping to get even faster when I lose these extra pounds.

Rio
Yea, there's a bit of a weight issue. What can I say? I love pizza, and my boys love giving me their leftovers. I'm not too worried about it though - I enjoy lots of activities; I play Frisbee and soccer, chase balls and squirrels, and go for walks, all in addition to flyball. I can even flip a cookie off my nose and catch it. Doh, there's that food thing again!
