Flyball is an amateur sport and our hobby.  To that end, these are our clubs priorities.  These priorities are in order of importance.

· Health of our dogs and handlers

· Well-being of our handlers

· Friendship

· Improving our relationships with our dogs

· Exemplifying responsible dog ownership and sportsmanship

· Maximizing our dogs’ athletic potential

· Accumulating flyball points by running clean

· Improving on team speed

· Winning our tournaments divisions

 

Sonic Boom is a recreational club.  Its purpose is to allow members and their dogs to participate in an enjoyable, somewhat athletic, activity together. Since flyball is an amateur sport, the only reward to be had is pleasure.  Therefore, the guiding principle is to make the club fun for all.

 

Sonic Boom is open to members with dogs of all abilities.  Since flyball tournaments always provide divisions for teams of varying speeds, there is no reason to limit the club to only the fastest dogs.
