Welcome to Rocket Paws second annual “Lift Off”. We are having our tournament at Newhall Park in Newhall. It is a very large venue with plenty of racing space and set up space. We will be racing on grass with one rings and keep in mind that it can be a bit windy so plan to stake your EZ ups.
There are many trees, barbeque pits and picnic tables available.
CAMPING INFO: There will be parking lot camping only. There is a large parking lot across the street at the middle school where we can park RV’s for overnight. I do need to know ahead of time who is camping. Please see camping application below. I will not be able to park campers at the last minute so please either mail the app. Or let me know you wish to camp. Camping is $20. You will be able to tent camp but please know that this venue is not isolated and there will be lots of foot traffic.
WATER: We will have water for the pools but please bring your own drinking water.
FRIDAY SET-UP: The park will be available for set ups from 12 PM to 6 PM on Friday afternoon and the park is open 24/7. We will be setting up the racing lanes on Friday afternoon, so feel free to offer assistance as all help is greatly appreciated. You can set up your ez-ups but do not leave anything valuable as we will be camping close by over night but the park is open.
DAY PARKING: There is parking on the street all around the park, and a large parking lot at the middle school across the street. There will be a softball game at the park on Saturday but we should be able to get the prime parking at our early arrival.
FOOD: We will have “hospitality” coffee but no concession stand so bring your own. Shari will be making her famous popcorn in the afternoon though! There are numerous fast food and sit down establishments very close to the park.
RAFFLE: We are planning a great raffle, with many items, so plan to visit our raffle table.
PHOTOGRAPHER: We plan to again offer team photographs as our gift to you for attending our tournament. So plan to gather your team sometime during the tournament and have a group shot done. We also may offer individual photos for a small fee if time allows. All pictures will be on disk.

DIRECTIONS TO NEWHALL PARK: FROM I-5, TAKE THE LYONS EXIT IN VALENCIA, EAST TO ORCHARD PARK. TURN LEFT ON ORCHARD TO THE FIRST LIGHT WHICH IS DALBEY. TURN RIGHT ON DALBEY AND THE PARK IS ON THE RIGHT.
