WELCOME TO THE FIRST ANNUAL

LIFTOFF 2008 !!!!!!

Welcome to Rocket Paws first annual “Liftoff”. We are having our tournament at Central Park in Santa Clarita, Ca. and many of you have been there before and know that it is a very large venue with plenty of racing space and set up space. We will be racing on grass with one ring and keep in mind that it can be a bit windy so plan to stake your EZ-ups.

CAMPING INFO: There will be parking lot camping only, (No tents on the grass). You are welcome to RV, Van camp, or Trailer and there is plenty of space in the lot adjacent to the racing. We ask a $20 camping fee per vehicle. Do note that the bathrooms will be locked from 10 PM until 6 AM. But the park will have open access. Those of you who have made arrangements with Phyllis to camp on site, please see her before you set up and she will give you a spot. The space needs to be maximized for everyone's easy access to the racing.

WATER: The water on site is recycled water used for irrigation and is not potable. We will bring in water for the dog pools and will be filling them manually, so we ask that they not be dumped and refilled needlessly as water is at a premium. Please bring your own drinking water and dog drinking water. If you bring your own private pool you will need to bring enough water to fill it yourself.

FRIDAY SET-UP: The park will be available for set ups from 2 PM to 6 PM on Friday afternoon and open at 6 AM Saturday. We will be setting up the racing lanes on Friday afternoon, so feel free to offer assistance as we are new at this and all help is greatly appreciated.

DAY PARKING: There is plenty of parking close to the racing rings and there is no parking fee for the park.

FOOD: We will have “hospitality” snacks but no concession stand so bring your own. There are numerous fast food and sit down establishments within a mile of the park.

RAFFLE: We are planning a great raffle, with many “big ticket” items, camping gear, EZ up, I-Pod and GPS navigation system to name a few. Don’t forget to visit our raffle table.

PHOTOGRAPHER: We plan to again offer team photographs as our gift to you for attending our tournament. So plan to gather your team sometime during the tournament and have a group shot done. We also may offer individual photos for a small fee if time allows.
