Tammy rescued Ryp from some children throwing rocks at him while he was tied to a broken-down make-shift dog house. After hours of persuasion, the owners surrendered him to her. Tammy is not sure if it was her or Ryp who rescued that day. "He is the most loving, sweet gentleman, with the biggest heart," she says. "He will do anything to see me smile. He has taught me about friendship, trust, and strength and I feel lucky to have him in my life, which is why he has my heart--I totally love this dog!"
Ryp gives his all anytime, whether he is competing in flyball or Frisbee. Now three years old, Ryp has successfully competed in freestyle Frisbee, but he loves flyball. He is consistent, dependable, and very reliable--but it is heart that gets the job done!
On our Vortex team, Ryp is handled by Howard, who loves his drive and enthusiasm. Ryp seems to love racing for Howard too--he has proven to be a strong and unflappable racer who has helped bring us winning times throughout long, hot weekends. They both constantly remind us--hey this sport is great FUN!
