Sedona Accommodations
The following accomodations are 20 to 25 minutes from the site--an easy,
scenic drive along Highway 89A.
- Sky Ranch
Lodge: Airport Road. 888-708-6400 • 928-282-6400. Our top pick for
staying in Sedona with dogs. This lodge is on Airport Mesa (where there is one
of those famous Sedona vortexes), next to a very small private airport with a
restaurant. It is 500 feet above the rest of Sedona, so the views are
breathtaking. Rates start at $75 for a nice, clean room. View rooms cost more.
Six acres of beautiful grounds, hiking trails adjacent to the lodge. Pet fee:
$10 per night.
- Sedona Real:
Highway 89A at Dry Creek Road. 877-299-6016 • 928-282-1414. This is at the
west end of Sedona, closest to the site (16.7 miles), about a 20 minute drive.
Beautiful, fully loaded new rooms. Designated pet rooms, with rates starting at
$150 per night. One time pet fee $20.
- Sedona
Super 8: 2545 West Highway 89A. 877-800-4746 • 928-282-1533. At
the west end of Sedona, about 20 minutes from the site. Rooms start at $100,
one-time $25 pet fee.
- Matterhorn
Lodge: 230 Apple Avenue. Right in the heart of uptown Sedona.
928-282-7176. Reservations: 800-372-8207. $149 per night for two double beds,
$10 per dog.
- Los
Abrigados Resort and Spa: 160 Portal Lane. 800-521-3131 •
928-282-1777. One or two bedroom, suites with kitchenettes, a few designated as
pet friendly. Right on a creek, in downtown Sedona, with 22 acres of lovely
grounds. $20 per pet per night, 60 pound limit. Call for rates and details.
This fabulous resort is also a timeshare.
- Iris Garden
Inn: 390 Jordan Road 800-321-8988. This small, charming bed and
breakfast in uptown Sedona, 25 minutes from the site, has one pet-friendly
room, which also includes a kitchenette. $115 per night.
- Bell Rock Inn and Suites: 6246 Highway 179.
800-521-3131. Very nice fairly new inn with spectacular red rock views. This is
on the outskirts of Sedona in an area called the Village of Oak Creek, about 30
minutes from the site via Beaverhead Flats Road. Pet friendly—even has
kennels if you need to leave your dog and explore where dogs can't go! Call for
rates and details.
- La Quinta: 6176 Highway 179. 928-284-0711. No pet fee,
but sign the pet agreement at check-in. Standard rates in October are $129 per
night. This is on the outskirts of Sedona in an area called the Village of Oak
Creek, about 30 minutes from the site via Beaverhead Flats Road.
