Quad Run Wags & Brags

2003-2004

July 24 & 25 Quad Run played in the Northern Power Paws Tournament at home in Edmonton.  Our accomplishments for this weekend were:

Quad Run 4 x4 New Best Time ~ 18.46

Blaze ~ 40 k Title (40,000 points)

Jake ~ 40k Title (40,000 points)

Kola ~ Flyball Master Title (5,000 points)

Borris ~ Flyball Master Title (5,000 points)

The following weekend Quad Run ran again at the Superdog Spectrum Canada Day Tournament.  All the dogs ran really well, despite the hot weather (and being a back to back tournaments).  Our accomplishments this weekend were:

Quad Run All 4 One (Multibreed Team) New Best Time ~ 18.45

Rocky ~ Flyball Grand Champion Title (30,000 points)

Oliver ~ Flyball Master Champion Title (15,000 points)

Quad Run co-hosted their first tournament with the Calgary Longshots the weekend of June 26 & June 27.  Every though we were all busy helping out at the tournament ( Thank you to all our team members, volunteers, and Sponsor for all your help!!!)  we still managed to run our dogs and achieve the following:

Sammi ~ Flyball Master Champion Title (15,000 points)

May 22 & May 23 Quad Run left sunny Northern Alberta for Lethbridge's Spring Tournament.  Even though the weather did not co-operate, and many team members considered taking up Ark Building, our dogs rather enjoyed the cool wet weather and our dos ran better than every!  Our team accomplishments were:

May 11 & 12 Quad Run had 2 teams venture East to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for the River Runners "Woof Wars" Tournament.  Everyone had a great time racing and the following titles we earned:

Mack ~ Flyball Master Excellent Title ( 10,000 Points)

Sterling ~ Flyball Master Excellent Title ( 10,000 Points)

Skunk - Flyball Master Title (5,000 Points)

Max - Flyball Master Title (5,000 Points)

Chelsea - Flyball Master Title (5,000 Points)

April 17 & 18 we had 2 teams travel to the sunny interior of British Columbia for the Okganan Chain Reaction's Tournament held in Armstrong, BC.  The handlers enjoyed the warm spring weather and the dogs enjoyed running on dirt for the first time.  Some of dogs even ran faster than ever before.  The titles we earned were:

Kaos ~ Onyx (20,000 Points)

April 10 & 11th Quad Run had 4 teams follow the Easter Bunny to Llyodminster's Annual Easter Flyball on the Border Tournament.  Everyone had fun and the following brags were earned:

Klee - Flyball Grand Champion Title (30,000 Points)

The following weekend Quad Run had 3 teams travel down to the Calgary Canine Centre's St. Patrick's Day Tournament March 14-15, 2004.  All the dogs ran exceptionally and earned lots of points.  Our brags this tournament were:

Quad Run 4 x 4 ~ Finishing 3rd in Division 1 on Sunday

March 6-7 saw the last of the Superdog Spectrum's 'house-league' tournaments.  Quad Run entered 3 teams on Saturday and 4 teams on Sunday.  Again both days went by very quickly as most of the races were back to back.  All the team members had lots of fun and all the dogs ran well.  Quad Run earned quite a few brags this weekend:

Blaze - Flyball Grand Championship Title (30,000 Points)

Oliver - Flyball Master Excellent Title (10,000 Points)

Sammi - Flyball Master Excellent Title ( 10,000 Points)

Tegan - Flyball Master Title (5,000 Points)

February 6th & 7th saw the second in the series of the Superdog Spectrum's home tournaments.  Quad Run again had 4 teams enter and again both days went by very quickly as most of the races were back to back.  All the teams ran excellent, running well under the 24 seconds mark.  Our brags this weekend were:

Oscar coming out of retirement to run on his namesake team (QR Wins an Oscar)

Kola - Flyball Dog Champion

Cricket - Flyball Dog Champion

Quad Run ventured South January 17-18 for The Calgary Canine Centre's New Year's Tournament.  The weather held out and made the trip enjoyable.  Quad Run's big accomplishments this weekend were:

January 10 & 11 Quad Run participated in the first of the series of the Superdog Spectrum's home tournaments.  Quad Run had 4 teams entered and  the day went by very quickly as most of our races were back to back.  Congratulations to our team members that earned the following titles:

The following weekend, November 15 & 16th, The Calgary Canine Center hosted their annual "Remembrance Day Tournament", the first tournament in Region 12 for the new racing season.  Overall our dogs ran well, fulfilling quite a few personal goals.  The titles Quad Run earned were:

Rocky - Onyx Award (20,000 Points)

Mack - Flyball Masters Title (5,000 Points)

Kya - Flyball Dog &  Flyball Dog Excellent Titles

To start off the current NAFA season, Quad Run had one team brave the cold weather and venture off to Regina for Ruff Rider's Winter Clash Tournament on November 8 & 9.  The team ran better than expected, and everyone enjoyed themselves.  Titles Quad Run earned were:

Sterling - Flyball Masters Title (5,000 Points)
