Chevy
Giant Schnauzer
Chevy von der Leidenschaft, FM, TT, CD, BH is a Giant Schnauzer from working lines.
Chevy's primary job is to act as a mobility assistance dog for Sue Barry.
However, that has not stopped her from moving up the NAFA ranks of Giant Schnauzer's
playing flyball. At the end of 2008, Chevy ranked third among all Giant Schnauzers with
17,094 points.
Chevy's flyball handler is Lori Barry-Kroening. The bond between handler
and dog is very obvious when Chevy working her flyball magic.
When not working for Sue and running down the flyball lanes for Lori, this
Giant is busy crosstraining running up hills, through snow and wherever she
can. Chevy has even dabbled in
dog sledding.
Chevy's sister, Eesa, and her brother, Eis (all from the same kennel) now run on
on the PFT team with her. And Eis has littermates (Ezri and Eryx) also running with us.
The flyball world may someday see their first all-GS team!
