Meet the dogs
... the REAL team-owners!
Here they are, the stars, the ones who make it all possible. Without these guys, we'd be just a sad bunch of humans, fumbling around with no purpose in the runback area.

Spam, ONYX |
Spam is one of our height dogs, a petite 7 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who could easily start her own fan club, given the reception she receives at every tournament. Spam is a solid flyball professional, often running full-time at tournaments. But Spam doesn't limit her success just to flyball... she also competes in Agility and is a 2 time finalist at the Disc Dog World Championship Spam is owned by Carol Helfer. |

Mellie, FM
|
Mellie, a Border Collie, is a flyball fanatic. She started her racing career with the Tail Blazers and currently holds down the anchor spot in a racing lineup. Hotshot, FM
|
Hotshot is a 3 year old Border Collie mix, competes in Flyball, Disc, and Agility! His stamina is amazing, as he will often come to practice having already competed at an all-day Agility event. He has a ton of energy and is, hands down, one of the most fun dogs around! "Hottie's" best time of 4.09 seconds was set at the Muddy Paws tournament in Salem, Oregon in May 2008. Hotshot is owned by Carol Helfer. |

Cedi, FMCh
|
Cedi, a 9 year old Australian Shepherd, is proud to be a founding member of the Tail Blazers. She is a favorite of the team because she is easy for almost any handler to run, just "point and shoot". Cedi's best time was 4.2 seconds. In her prime she ran on two teams full time each tournament and barely slowed down. Now in semi-retirement, she contributes by helping train green dogs and backing up racing lineups. She is owned and adored by team captain Greta Kaplan.

Bryan |
Bryan is a 3 year old Miniature Pinscher/ Italian Greyhound mix whose intelligence and speed make him an excellent height dog prospect. In face, he showed so much promise that Trail Blazer members pretty much strong-armed his adoptive mom into joining the team. |

Danya, ONYX |
Danya being voted Region 7's Most Valuable Player in 2006 was just one of many accolades in Danya's Flyball career. She was an original member of the Mutt-keteers, Oregon's first Flyball team and was also the first dog in Oregon to earn ONYX, in February 2006. Her booming voice, is also renowned throughout the region! Danya is now retired but still a model of solid, reliable Flyball professionalism. |
