What are we looking for? |
If you have a passion for flyball, have a flyball trained dog and a desire to be part of a competitive team that has a lot of fun (see About Us section), check us out. We have team members who've joined after moving to Oregon from Colorado, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Alaska. Whether you're new to Portland or have lived here all your life, we'd love to meet you and your dog. |
Is your dog ready? |
Flyball is an intensely athletic sport, and so your dog should be at an appropriate weight and physically fit enough to play. Flyball is not suitable for dogs with extreme temperament issues or certain physical limitations. |
Are you ready? |
PTB Team members are expected to attend practice each week and compete in 5-10 tournaments each year. Many of the tournaments are held in British Columbia, a six hour drive (one-way), depending on traffic. This requires a great deal of commitment from our members. |

Because members of a flyball team must work together in close cooperation, it's imperative that personalities can mesh. The Portland Tail Blazers club seeks to run by cooperation and consensus. We invite prospective new members to join us for class and/or practice. If the chemistry is good, prospective members may apply for provisional membership and, later, full membership. If you are interested in joining us, please contact us about coming to class or practice to start the process.
