Danya receives her Region 7 MVP plaque!

The Tail Blazers are very proud to announce that Danya was voted Region 7's Most Valuable Player in 2006. The plaque commemorating this honor was given to Danya and her owner, Carol Helfer, DVM, in July, at Muddy Paws' Fun Fair All Tournament in Salem, OR.
This is just the most recent accolade in Danya's flyball career, which began when she was an original member of the Mutt-ketteers, Oregon's first flyball team. She was also the first do in Oregon to earn the ONYX, in February 2006. And let's not forget her booming voice, which is also renowned throughout the region!
Danya is now retired, making occasional appearances at demos and helping to train green dogs.
Tahoe earns her FMCh

Congratulations to Tahoe, who ran for 807 points on October 27 & 28th (at Cascade Comet's "South of the Boo!der" Tournament in Auburn, WA), taking her up to a total of 15,321 points and earning her the FMCh title!
Tahoe has been playing flyball since 2003, and she's been a pro from the start. At her first tournament, she got her first perfect start, and ran the entire weekend without so much as one bobbled ball. Four years later, she runs as a start dog and has taught herself to watch the lights, so she knows exactly when she's supposed to take off.
And she loves the game so much, she will run for anyone-- even strangers. When she started playing flyball in Colorado, there was only one local tournament (note, there are closer to 10 local tournaments now.) But in 2003, the closest tournament besides that one was eight hours away, so her team often traveled shorthanded. As a result, Tahoe's mom sometimes had to literally grab complete strangers at the ring side and ask them to run Tahoe... and still Tahoe never missed a beat!
Congratulations, Teeny Tiny Tahoe! You're the best!
