Our daughter always wanted a little dog, so we talked to Maureen (Canine Express) from the Michigan Jack Rescue.  In January of 2002 she called us and told us about Eddie (Isaac).  She said he has a very nice temperament, but she did not know if he would ever be a flyball dog. At the time, he would not even pick up a ball or single step five feet.  We took the kids and we went to see him.  Well, of course, they fell in love with him.  So we brought him home and adopted him.  A lot of work went into this little guy, so he would get a tennis ball and single step ten feet. Today he loves flyball and is a solid height dog for the club. He knows when we are going to a flyball practice or a flyball tournament and he gets soooo... excited. He cannot wait to get out the door and go.
A couple of times, when we were racing Canine Express, it came down to the last dog. It was Isaac against a Jack Russell from Canine Express.
Pawsitive Attitudes won the races. For a long time there was a standard joke about Isaac, if Canine Express would have realized the flyball dog that he turned out to be, they would have kept him.
