Dave started participating in Flyball by playing “Boxloader” for Leaps ‘N Hounds, who merged with Northern Power Paws some time ago now. He’s finally progressed to owning and racing his own dog.

Sydney is a blue merle Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, and was born on November 23, 2000 on a farm in Ontario. He was too much dog for the family that took him from the farmer's hands, and he ended up in an Ottawa foster home when a little over a year and a half old. Seeing his photo posted on a nation-wide flyball email list, we fell in love with him instantly, and contacted the foster home to fill out an application. We waited breathlessly for a return email, and were pleasantly surprised to find that we were approved! Getting him here proved quite the journey, but he arrived safely on June 12, 2002. We started training him in flyball right away, and he amazed us with his speed and willingness to learn.
