Striker, alias ‘Whoobbeee!’,  acquired his nickname because he does everything with gusto and enthusiasm.  This lovely Shetland Sheepdog was bred by Debbie Dickinson of Boldligo Shelties in Waterdown, Ontario and is the grandson of Lacy who was on the McCann world record holding team in 1992.

Denise and her daughter, Lauren, agreed to share in the training of Striker.  He is Denise’s obedience dog, having achieved his C.D.X. with his highest score of 198 ½.  He is currently in training to achieve his Utility title.  Lauren and Striker are inseparable whenever there’s flyball or agility going on.  Lauren was 12 years old when Striker was born and the two have grown up together.  They are a great team whether they are competing or just lounging around together.

Striker has earned his Onyx title and competed with Lauren at the 2002 Agility Association of Canada National Championships. Not only did they win their division (16” Specials) they were lucky enough to be recognized as the first

Junior National Champion of Canada.

There’s nothing that Striker doesn’t like, except maybe being quiet and doing anything slowly!  And he has worked hard to make sure that his back yard is a bird and rabbit free zone.

This Border Collie wanna-be is a joy to live with.  His intelligence, athleticism and easy-going attitude is a testament to the Boldligo name.
