Dave Hoyt

David Hoyt, I am a 50 something manufacturing consultant from Bristol Ct. I have decided to settle in one place for the balance of my working life. I am the head of operations at Ct. Welding and Manufacturing in New Britain Ct.

I have two sons two daughters in law, and 21/2 grand children. I have been involved with dogs for many years, from AKC obedience, to
Therapy and even some search and rescue. I wanted to find something to do with my dogs that was not always about being in total control. I wanted to have some fun with the dogs.

That’s when I was introduced to the game of FlyBall. In the summer of 2002 at a fundraiser in New Haven Ct. I met the people of CTFF. I had Bailey and my black Lab. Belle at the time. Belle was not interested, but Bailey took to it like it was his reason for living. I have not been able to get free from it since. After being in it for a while people started talking to me about another dog. Gail Mirabella got me hooked up with “Q”, and now I understand what training a dog for FlyBall is really like. He has challenged my training ability to say the least, but I love them both and they are the joy of me life right now. “Oh no, did I say that out loud?” (Don’t tell Peg, or Wes, or Jason, or Heather, or Malisa, or Nathan, or Brena, or the new one).

Bailey currently holds his FMX, and Q has earned his FM Thanks to the help of a lot of great FlyBall people.
I am looking forward to many more years of fun with FlyBall and have had a great time with “Infurno”.
