“If the dog can run, jump, catch a ball and chase you, it can be a Flyball dog.”

WEDNESDAYS
[beginners]

At present, Beginner classes are on hold. If you are interested in and dedicated to training this sport, you may be allowed to attend Intermediate classes.

Dog Expectations: at least 9 months old, up-to-date on shots (bring shot records), healthy. Should know basic commands: sit, stay, come. An aptitude for playing with balls and fetch is good, but not necessary.

We train using positive methods, only. Bring your dog’s favorite food or toy.

SUNDAYS
[intermediates]

Most Sundays, from 9:00-11:30am, intermediate lessons are held at the Salem YMCA. Cost is free. Classes are held indoors.

To move from beginner to intermediate class, your dog must be able to do a proper box turn from a distance, jump all four jumps in a recall, and catch a ball from the box.
