historic center of Bangor, across the street from the Antique
Marketplace (loads of fun) and other neat shops; easy walking distance,
a block or two, from used book shops and other fun places and the Bangor
Art Museum. This is not cheap but it's not too pricey, either.
It's casual, has a long table where I saw a large family group
celebrating something this summer. Plus the food is yummy. They have
wine and beer. I really like this place a lot.

Description:
If you like meat and large portions of it, this is the place for you.
Based on old Texas style eating, this place is good! The best steaks,
ribs, chicken and even catfish in town including a 32 once sirloin steak
cooked to your liking. The steaks are cut fresh every day in house by
professional butchers to give you the perfect cut of meat every time.
The best bread and butter in Bangor including a mouth watering sweet
butter spread and all the peanuts you can eat for free by just walking
in the door. Why even bother keeping your peanut shells in a pile on the
table, just throw them right on the floor, in fact the waitresses and
waiters encourage it. Don't fill up on the peanuts though considering
their portions are huge. Every hour the waiters and waitresses get
together to do line dancing in the aisles. They also have a full service
bar. Cost: appetizers range from around $5 to $9. salads
from $4 to $8, while entrees range from around $8 to $30. They also have
great "smoke house sandwiches" which are all around $7. You
don't have to get meat though with a great variety of salads ranging
from $4 to around $8. They also include a vegetarian meal which cost
around $8 and two great kids menus...one for younger children and one
for older children who think they are older than they really are and are
too good for the kids meal. Directions: Interstate
95, Exit 186, straight ahead off exit. Call Ahead
Seating: 207-262-6122
