Flyball Maine-ia!

"The Way Life Should Be"

Maine's FIRST Flyball Tournament!

Why come all the way to Maine to play flyball?

Because Maine is beautiful and you are hopelessly addicted to flyball!  We invite you to come and enjoy some Maine hospitality and see why Maine IS the way life should be!  You are more than welcome to stay a while longer and explore more of Maine.  Bangor is less than an hour and a half from both Bar Harbor and Camden- two beautiful vacation spots.  There are also many other small towns close by that are quite pleasant.  While November is past peak "fall color" season, there are still some colors left- more info.  Don't hesitate to ask us about fun (non-flyball) things to do in Maine.  Its a very dog friendly state, lots of places to walk the pups and they are even allowed in some stores.  There are many things to do in Maine!  Oh, and don't forget the more touristy things- who doesn't think of lumberjacks like Paul Bunyan when they think of Maine?  More things to visit in Bangor!

When: November 5th and 6th, 2005

Judge: Gail D'Avolio

We love all the judges in region 13, but Gail is special.  She was our first judge- to witness our first tournament disaster, and she ran her retired cocker spaniel, Ricky, with us to help us get our groove at our second tournament.  She's always in a good mood, and her smile is contagious.  We are very happy to have Gail as the judge of our first tournament!

Where: Bangor Tennis Club- Bangor, Maine.

The tournament is taking place in a tennis club- four indoor tennis courts plus a nice lobby/snack bar area.  There is plenty of outdoor space for walking the pups, and its within a few miles of most hotels and restaurants.  The owner of the club is a big dog lover himself, his dog has gone to work with him every day and as you enter the building you see a bulletin board of players' dogs (they donated tennis balls to our club, so Lynda made them a card with pictures of the team dogs).  What could be better- a flyball tournament in a tennis building?  We are very excited about this tournament!
