Rook is a great big, goofy Doberman. He was
adopted by us when he was six years old, and we decided to try teaching him
flyball, just for fun.
Guess what? You really CAN teach an old
dog new tricks!
He loved flyball so much, we figured we'd
let him play in tournaments, despite his large size and older age.
Being so big, he intimidates those who
don't know him...he really is a gentle giant. He barks to get your
attention...and that bark does get people's attention...but he's not looking to
take an arm, he just wants his chin scratched! What we have here is a 100 pound
lap dog...and he'll happily curl up and snooze with anyone who will have
him.
Rook may be approaching his senior years,
but he's still a puppy at heart!
