Bishop
(The clumsiest dog in Flyball)
 Breed: Doberman Pinscher
  Owner: Chris & Eileen Higginbotham
  Handler: Chris
Flyball Titles: FD, FDX, FDCh, FM

Really...the clumsiest dog in flyball.

This isn't just me being cruel, he truly is.  For example, he's probably the only dog in this sport who has a back leg full of steel, courtesy of the operation to fix a broken leg he gave himself at 9 months old.  He doesn't walk down stairs...he throws himself down them.  The only one he's more danger to than himself is his owner, me!  He's given me black eyes, split lips, and broken a tooth...all because he gets so excited when he's playing the game.  He just can't help tackling me in his eagerness to show what a good dog he is for bringing the ball back.  75 pounds of dobe hitting at full gallop causes damage...

Good thing he's not mean...I'd be in big trouble.

But you know what?  He's also the greatest dog I could imagine owning.  He's one of those dogs who thinks his owner isn't the only thing that matters in the world...his owner is THE only thing in the world.  He's affectionate to a fault, and as long as I can make him understand what it is I want, he'll just about kill himself trying to do it!  He's worth every bump and bruise, and I wouldn't give him up for anything!
