“My Skyler girl came to me in an emergency foster situation. I didn’t think she’d be with me very long. I was suffering from the recent heartbreaking loss of my 16 month old cattle dog “Dagger”, and I just didn’t have much heart left for Skye. I was trying to evaluate her and see if I could put her up for adoption in the Ottawa area. But her condition made her un-adoptable. Skyler shows signs of OCD and epilepsy. I was at a loss that anything good would become of this poor girl. However, much patience later and a ton of love have made this girl shine. She loves to work and will do whatever I ask to the best of her ability. She has taken to disc and just loves herding those sheep! Skyler still does not play with dogs or people outside of us. But I am not about to give up on her when she’s come so far. Skyler won’t be leaving me any time soon! This girl was a lightening bolt at SharkFEBst 2005. Once her turn is reliable she’ll be running in the 3’s - no doubt. UPDATE March 2006: Skye is going strong! Everything about her has made a 180. She is a different dog and no longer seizes! She is beautiful, healthy and strong and does everything I ask her 100%. She is my heart dog… Update March 2007: Still and always will be my ultimate baby girl, my lap dog, my bed hog and my miracle girl J”
