Colleen: “Gigi truly defies her breed as a Bichon Frise! These dogs are bred for pure companionship but someway, somehow, I ended up with a Bichon who won't stop swimming and/or retrieving if given the choice and chance! (And, I am so thrilled about it, too as I would not have it any other way!) She absolutely LOVES to be active and so enjoys the water, in fact, she swims better and faster then our neighbor's Portuguese Water Dog! Gigi excels at flyball because she is always consistent and reliable. She is not the fastest dog out there as a height dog (she has a true Bichon Frise body with a stocky yet muscular build but very short yet sturdy legs) but she will never let you down in a flyball line-up and never has ever demonstrated one iota of fear in passing any other dog, large or small, in a team line-up! I am so very proud of her sheer and utter tenacity and determination for her size and breed! I originally chose the Bichon Frise breed because they are truly a "small dog with a BIG (larger than life, in fact!) dog personality" plus, they don't shed and are portable! Considering I travel constantly for my advertising business, Gigi must be comfortable flying within the cabin of an airplane in her Sherpa Bag or on a train, boat and of course, a car. She is a fantastic travel companion and adapts so easily to every surrounding she has been in and every person she has met. Gigi is my very first dog and will always have a special place in her Mom's heart. At the end of the day, she is always ready to curl up right on my pillow each evening and kiss my face one thousand times over (a very common and loving habit for the happy-go-lucky Bichon Frise breed) each morning! She is always "up" for doing something and going somewhere. Gigi is my "shadow" and together, we are a great team! Gigi and I are working hard on achieving Gigi's FM or "Flyball Master" title. Gigi is currently ranked number 8 out of 22 Bichon Frises who compete in
