PAST EVENTS:

Shamrock Showdown - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, March 2-3,2013

Very proud of Belle Belle and Francis, she got her first clean run!

Temple - NAFA tournament - Temple, January 19-20, 2013

We had a blast, and there were so many things we enjoyed about this tournament. The new facility was awesome, I talked to several people that loved the location, it's convenient no matter where you live. The crating area, the food, the double rings, the RV parking, it's all good. I hope they let us come back.

We had several newbies. Marceie and her silly Golden, Inu ran with our Barkworthy friends and earned their FD, FDX and FDCh! Inu is new to NAFA, but not to flyball. She raced when she lived in Vegas with UFLi but never ran in NAFA. Very excited to have her.

Francis and his BC, Belle had some great warm up practice, won't be long and they'll be racing.

Very excited to see Marilyn and Tony of Barkworthy get some clean runs on the vets team. I always knew Tony could do it. And as always, had a great time racing with our Barkworthy friends, we couldn't do it without them.

Holiday Flyball Fest - NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, December 1-2, 2012

It was great to be back in the lanes after a 3 month break.

Great Balls of Fire - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, August 11-12, 2012

Another great weekend of racing with our Barkworthy friends. Despite lots of interferences from other teams, Bunny managed to keep it together and race. Best of all, Quasi earned his Flyball Master (FM) title!

Tune Up To Reliant - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, June 23-24, 2012

Another great weekend of racing with Barkworthy. Bunny shut down on us again, so Banjo had to pull one for the team and he did an awesome job. We finally figured out what makes Quasi tick when he races with Barkworthy, all this time, we thought he needed Joker's trash talking in the ring, but it was Jasmine that he was looking for!

Go Dog Go! - NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, May 5-6, 2012

Once again, Electric Dawg paired up with Barkworthy and had a great time. We didn't win any titles, but the dogs did great. Really good to see Flash running again on Barkworthy after an injury. And my crazy little Jack Bunny ran great and didn't shut down all weekend, so I'm excited about that.

Spring Fling - NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, April 14-15, 2012

Shamrock Showdown - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, March 3-4, 2012

Another great tournament with our Barkworthy friends.

Fly Hard or Go Home - NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, February 4-5, 2012

Electric Dawg joined up with Barkworthy once again for a really fun weekend of racing.

Great to have Joker ( (BW) back racing with us after major surgery. Another big plus for the weekend was getting a new dog racing for the first time. When we needed a dog to cover for another one that started limping, Jasmine and Simba stepped in. Didn't think the little 'meat head' was ready to race yet, but he earned his first title and showed a lot of promise. Quasi also earned his FDCH-Gold.

Daiquiri Dawg Dayz - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, January 6-8, 2012

Electric Dawg joined forces with Barkworthy this weekend and we had so much fun, and racked up lots of titles between the two clubs on our 3 teams. We were so glad to take part in the numerous Barkworthy titles, even though it was a very small part. Jet, normally handled by George, earned his FMCH. Not only that, Tracey, one of our newest who has never raced a dog, ran Jet all weekend. I think Tracey now has the flyball fever. Bunny completely shutdown, so we pulled Banjo out of retirement and at the age of 9+ years, he earned his FDCH-S. On the second day of racing, Jasmine and Joker (BW) earn their FDCH on the Electric Dawg team.

Steve and Cayenne raced on the Alamo Racing Canine open team and racked up lots of title points and a first place win.

We think the union between Barkworthy and Electric Dawg has been a success and look forward to doing it again next month.

Holiday Flyball Fest -  NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, December 3-4, 2011

We had a great time running against HRH in the finally neck to neck heats, even tho they beat us. Special thanks to Barkworthy for boxloading, calling passes, and racing with us. Couldn't of done it without their help. Also, enjoyed Melissa and Prozac racing with us along with their trusty little backup, Rusty who saved the day for us on Saturday when our little height dog Digby took a nasty fall. Got Digby racing again, so very excited about that.

We earned two titles this weekend, Bunny earned her FMCH and Quasi earned his FDCh-Silver.

Reggae Racers - NAFA tournament - Bell County Expo in Belton, November 5-6, 2011

We earned a couple of titles this weekend. First title was Steve and his beautiful Cayenne, they earned their 15,000 point title, FMCH! Claire and her silly little Jack Russell, Digby earned their FDCh-G.

Thanks Melissa and Prozac for racing with us, we had a lot of fun.

We had another raffle to support Border Collie Rescue Tx and it was a big success.

CanAm - NAFA tournament - Indianapolis, Indiana, October 7-9, 2011

Steve and Shelley attended and raced Cayenne on an open team with Alamo Racing Canines. Everyone had a great time and Cayenne earned lots of points towards her next title.

Canine Convicts - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, August 13-14, 2011

This was an emotional tournament because it was Chance's last tournament. Hoped to never have to retire him, however, his hips are bionic, but his spine is not. This boy is very special because he is one of the dawgs that this club was created for. Many thanks to the club for making this tournament special and for honoring Chance.

We took two open teams to this tournament and had two members of Barkworthy running with us.

Digby ran like a pro the entire weekend without his mom. This little JRT loves his flyball.

We earned one title this weekend, Quasi earned his FDCh.

Series of Dog Shows - NAFA tournament - Reliant Park in Houston, July 22-24, 2011

Reliant will always be a favorite, got to race with a lot of out of state teams, lots of good shopping and also got to see a lot our friends from Border Collie Rescue Tx.

A special thanks goes out to Barkworthy, we couldn't of done it without their help. Also loved having Joker race with us. Very excited for Jasmine to get a .000 start with Joker. Thanks also to Paws & Effect for allowing Chance to run on their vets team.

We had two titles for the weekend, Callie our silly, long legged Jack earned her FDCh-G and crazy little Quasi managed to hold it together and earned his FDX.

Tune Up to Reliant - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, June 11-12, 2011

We want to send out special thanks to Barkworthy, they were such an incredible help for us this weekend. We were even more short handed that normal but they really covered all the bases for us. Also thanks to Winston of ARC, he helped us all weekend with shagging and also helped load our cars yesterday. And, many thanks to Jeana for helping us by holding our green dogs.

Very proud of our 3rd place win in Reg IV and our 2nd place in Open III. We earned one title this weekend that I'm especially proud of. My crazy boy, Quasi finally got his brain on and earned his FD. I couldn't of been any happier with him.

Jailhouse Rock - NAFA tournament - hosted by Electric Dawg and Flat Out Flyers - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, May 14-15, 2011

All of us in Electric Dawg would like to thank all of our friends in Flat Out Flyers for co-hosting this tournament with us. No way we could of done it without them, what a great club!

Callie Monster earned their FDCh and their FDCh-Silver and that team scored a second place.

Bark For Life - flyball demo - Eastern Williamson County Event Center in Taylor, March 26, 2011 - around 11:30 a.m.

Shamrock Showdown - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, March 5-6, 2011

Our big goal for this tournament was to finally get Claire's silly, long legged Callie racing cleanly and we not only met that goal, but Callie earned her FDX. We always knew she could do it and when she would, she'd do it with flair.

Daiquiri Dawg Dayz - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, January 28-30, 2011

We had two FMX's that we are very proud of, Steve with Cayenne, and George with Jet. Callie, Claire's silly little Jack Russell got several clean runs. This little girl is going to be awesome, we always knew she could do it.

Congrats to Steve who finished his apprentice judging.

Holiday Flyball Fest -  NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, December 4-5, 2010

We had several brags this weekend including a 1st place win for our Bone To Run team in Open I. Our Steppin' Woof team placed 2nd in Regular 5. We think we missed 1st place by a point or two, so we had some really tight racing which is always fun.

We have two titles to brag about, Claire and her little Jack Russell, Digby earned their FDCH-Silver, and my little Bunny Fru earned her Flyball Master Excellent.

Reggae Racers - NAFA tournament - Bell County, November 6-7, 2010

Electric Dawg came to this tournament missing two of our key members so our little club was very short handed, but despite that, our mighty team members pulled it together and raced clean and had a good time all weekend.

The highlight of our weekend tho was the love and support shown for all the Border Collies that are currently coming in to Border Collie Rescue Tx. Just days before this tournament, I sent out a notice that we would be holding a raffle and bake sale. Wow, Region 5 blew me away, they brought lots of raffle items, baked goods and money. I'm so proud to announce that we raised $1140 for Border Collie Rescue Tx this weekend and we also received lots of dogfood and flea prevention. I know a lot of dogs racing this weekend came from Border Collie Rescue Tx or other rescue groups, but I'm still touched by the generosity of the Region 5 flyball family and I'm so proud to be a member of it.

Canine Convicts - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, August 14-15, 2010

We had so much fun, despite the heat and we had lots of accomplishments. We are so proud of our silly Callie, she finally had her first clean run and also earned her FD. This girl is going to be awesome once she gets serious. It's hard to take life real serious tho when you're a Jack Russell. My sweet Border Collie, Chance earned his FM. This was a big thing for him, he's 10 1/2 years old and had bilateral hip replacements when he was 3 years old. He's not as fast as other BC's, but he's flawless and will run for anyone in any position, he just loves to play flyball.

Also enjoyed cheering on Claire and Reece as they competed in the human flyball races.

Series of Dog Shows - NAFA tournament - Reliant Park in Houston, July 23-25, 2010

One of our favorite tournament! We had a great time and pulled off two titles, Bree with Shelley earned her FDCh-S and Digby with Claire earned his FDCh.

We are very excited about our two 1st place wins with team Bone To Run. We thought we'd slipped out of 1st place on Sunday when Bunny suddenly decided that she didn't like the head judge. Digby stepped in and backed up Bunny and we clung to the lead. Our open team, Steppin' Woof placed 3rd and had a good time and dealt really well with the large crowds of people.

Check out racing videos videos of teams Bone to Run and Steppin' Woof.

Bark In The Park - flyball demo - Zilker Park Hillside Theater in Austin, July 17, 2010 - around 11:30 a.m.

Altho very hot, we had a good time, got to show people what rescues are capable of, and we made it on News 8 Austin.

Tune Up To Reliant NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, June 12-13, 2010

Had a great time at this tournament. We took two teams and Chance and Banjo raced on Paws and Effect's vet team. Bone to Run placed 3rd in division 3 and even had a breakout so we had to hold back. Steppin' Woof placed 2nd in Open 3.

Makena and Liberty earned their FDCh-G, and Rave earned her FDCh-S.

Daiquiri Dawg Days -  NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, May 8-9, 2010

Loved seeing Steve judging in the ring at the tournament.

Congrats to Shelley for her 0.000 start with Steve's dog, Cayenne. Kat raced my Jack Russell, Banjo all weekend and he earned his FDCh. We didn't place so well on Saturday but we had a great time and were really happy with our 2nd place wins in Division 4 and Open 3 on Sunday.

Spring Fling -  NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, April 10-11, 2010

Electric Dawg took a limited crew on this tournament. The big news is Steve made his judging debut!

This is most likely Piper's last tournament with Electric Dawg, her family is moving, so we were happy that she was able to earn her FDCh-S.

Shamrock Showdown - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, March 6-7, 2010

This is always one of our favorite tournaments because it recognizes all the incredible rescues in flyball.

Digby, a little Jack Russell, adopted by Claire, made his racing debut at this tournament and earned his FD and FDX.

We were especially excited to snag a 1st place with our open team. Our two regular teams did great too and racked up lots of title points.

Jailhouse Rock - NAFA tournament - hosted by Electric Dawg and Flat Out Flyers - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, January 30-31, 2010

We co-hosted this tournament along with Flat Out Flyers and we took 3 teams. It was a lot of work but we brought in 3 titles, Cayenne earned her FM, Makena earned her FDCh-S and Rave got her FDCh.

Holiday Flyball Fest -  NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, December 5-6, 2009

We entered only one team of dogs that had never raced together and we were happy with how well they performed. We have several brags including Piper who earned her FDX and FDCh. It was great seeing it all come together for Piper this weekend. Shelby earned their FDCh-G and our height dog Liberty Belle earned her FDCh-S with several different handlers not phasing her one bit.

Reggae Racers - NAFA tournament - Bell County, November 7-8, 2009

This is the first time we've taken a 3rd team to tournament, we were already stretching ourselves a little thin and when tournament time arrived, we were down a couple dogs and people. But, thanks to members of ARC and TxHeat, we pulled off that 3rd team. We got Rave racing again, she'd shut down at an earlier tournament, and we got to race with Slider, who moved here from a Florida team. We also got little Digby and Callie some mat time and these two will be pros soon.

We earned two titles this weekend, both Jet and Bunny earned their Flyball Master.

Canine Convicts - NAFA tournament - Walker County Fairgrounds in Huntsville, August 29-30, 2009

We have lots of brags from this tournament, Makena earned her FDCh and Piper earned her FD with some extra points to spare. And best of all, our Bone to Run team placed 1st in Division 3!!! Cayenne, Jet, Shelby and Bunny make an awesome team. Usually we're watching the scoreboards but for some reason, we weren't paying attention so we were all very surprised. Maybe we'll quit watching the scoreboards from this point on.

Series of Dog Shows - NAFA tournament - Reliant Park in Houston, July 17-19, 2009

We had so much fun, and so did the dogs. They were really responding to the crowd and it was so fun to have the cheering on the sidelines. I hope that people walked away talking about how fun it was to watch flyball.

We walked away with several titles for the weekend and several personal bests. Both of our teams set some new personal records, and so did several of the dogs.

We were especially proud of Alissa's goofy lab, Shelby who earned her FDX, FDCh and FDCh-S! Steve's pretty red merle BC, Cayenne earned her FDCh-G. Piper got another clean run and Callie got her feet on the mats as well. Danielle had some good starts with Makena and had a 0.001

Tune Up To Reliant NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Show Barn in New Caney, June 13-14, 2009

Alissa was sick so we were without our detail person to keep us in line. We also didn't have her goofy girl, Shelby to race. Our Bone to Run team ran very clean, but not as fast as we'd hoped since we didn't have Shelby. But, despite that, Jet, Bunny and Chance earned their FDCh-G titles.

Our Steppin' Woof team has several very green dogs on it. We're proud to say that we also earned 3 titles on that team as well. Makena earned her FDX, Liberty earned her FDCh and Bree earned her FDCh-S. Since my skiddish BC, Rave had shut down because of the balls hitting the backdrop, I put in one of our newcomers, Piper in the last heat of the tournament and she ran flawlessly and earned her first point. We expect big things from this little black lab.

Shamrock Showdown III NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, March 14-15, 2009

Electric Dawg had a great time at the tournament. This is always one of our favorites because it features the rescues. We're very proud that our Makena, a Border Collie Rescue alumni, who won the lucky dog contest this year.

We didn't walk away with any titles this weekend, but we had some things to be proud of. One of our proudest accomplishments I want to brag about is that Shelby gets it now! She raced full time and stayed in her lane and ran flawless.

Another thing we learned is to always keep an eye on Dogz Rule! There seems to be someone in the group that likes to collect club banners! If they hadn't been out stealing signs, they might not of had such a hard time keeping up with their balls.

Hearts and Hounds NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, February 14-15, 2009

Electric Dawg had a great time at this tournament, there was a lot of racing packed into two days. We took two teams, and Cayenne earned her FDCh-S. Pretty cool for a dog that was found as a stray just one year ago. The rescues rock!

By Sunday, our silly Shelby had caught on to the idea of racing in her lane.

On the first day, Bunny's weekend took a serious turn when a dog on the opposing team came after her. She didn't get hurt but shutdown and quit racing. But with a lot of help from all her team members, she ended the tournament with 3 clean runs. What a way to end it.

Disco Dawgs NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, January 24-25, 2009

Electric Dawg hosted their first tournament! Not only did our mighty little club pull it off, it was a great success. We had a lot of help from other clubs so that no detail was missed, we couldn't of done it without them. It was a lot of work, but very rewarding and we can't wait to do it again. Many thanks to all of our club members, especially our newbies. This was their first tournament and they were a great asset in planning and they worked all weekend at the tournament.

We took two teams to Disco Dawg. Bone to Run competed in Division IV and placed second. Jet earned his FDCh-S and Cayenne earned her FDCh. Our less experienced team, Steppin' Woof did well in Division VI with a 5th place win. We were especially proud of Shelby for winning her FD title, she had a couple of good runs before greeting the other team in their lane. Liberty ran full time all weekend without any errors so she has really come a long way.

Click to see pictures from the tournament.

Flyball Demo at Pflugerville Pfestival - October 18, 2008

We will be doing flyball demos at noon and 2:30. Please come by and meet the dawgs and see why we love this sport so much. The pfestival will be held at the Hill Country Bible Church at 303 E Pflugerville Parkway in Pflugerville.

Reggae Racers NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, October 4-5, 2008

We took two teams to this tournament, a first for us, and we had an incredible weekend. Our first team, Bone to Run, placed 2nd in Division 5 and Bunny and Chance earned their FDCh-Silver titles. Shelby also joined the team and got some good practice. She enjoyed entertaining the crowds but pulled it together to get a couple of good runs on the last day and earned some points toward her first title. Our new team, Steppin' Woof debuted with Cayenne, Rave and Makena for their first tournament. Banjo and Liberty shared the height dog position and we had Sadie from another club join us. We didn't know what to expect, but everyone of them did a great job and Cayenne, Rave and Makena took home 5 titles. And if that wasn't enough, they also placed 2nd in the Open Division. What a great start for this team!

Great Balls of Fire NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, August 17-18, 2008

What a weekend! We were short handed so we competed as an open team. We had Roulette from 4 Dog Flight join us. We got off to a good start and Jet earned his FDCh title. Best of all, the weekend wrapped up with a 2nd place win for us in Open divison!

Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows - NAFA tournament - Reliant Park in Houston, July 18-20, 2008

We had a lot to brag about this weekend. Jet made his racing debut just 16 weeks after George pulled from the kill shelter. At 2 years of age, he had spent his entire life in the backyard. It was hard to believe his past once we started training him, and even more amazing that after 16 weeks, this dog was already competing. Jet earned his FD and FDX, and he also helped the other dogs on his team earn some titles. Bunny earned her FDCh and so did Bree, another of our BCRT alumni. Even more special, Chance earned his FDCh. He had no errors all weekend and ran for numerous handlers in numerous positions.

Shamrock Showdown II NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, March 8-9, 2008

This was a smaller tournament so we had a little more time to visit with friends. Liberty earned her FDX on the last race of the day. We needed a clean run less than 28 seconds to get her title and our time was 27:999, what a great ending! Shelley cleaned up at the raffles, winning one on Saturday and FOUR on Sunday! Rescue dawgs are featured at this tournament and we had the largest number featured and we didn't even submit all of them. Bree won the Lucky Dog award which meant more prizes for Shelley! We also had time to take our dawgs and our boxloader to the professional photographer for portraits.

Hearts and Hounds NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, February 8-9, 2008

What a great tournament! Despite starting out with one dawg and one handler under the weather, we still managed to earn some titles and best of all, our dawgs are really starting to run clean. Our Liberty had shut down and wouldn't race in previous tournaments, but by Sunday, she was back to her old self and earned her well deserved FD. Bree, Bunny and Banjo (who managed to stay out of trouble) earned their FDX, so we're really proud of them. Plus, we took 4th place in our division!

Hippie Hounds NAFA tournament - Albert Sallas Showbarn in New Caney, January 5-6, 2008

We took 4th place in our division! That's right we're actually placing now. We held onto 3rd until Banjo decided that he'd rather visit the dawg in the other lane. It's always a Jack Russell that gets in trouble! Bree, Bunny and Banjo earned their FD titles and Liberty had some good runs. An added bonus of the tournament being so close to Houston, was having our 3 friends, Janice, Penny and Adam from Border Collie Rescue Tx visit and help us all day on Sunday.

Y'All Fli U-Fli tournament - Canton,Tx, November 10-11, 2007

What a great time and a lot of accomplishments. Not only did we get to watch some very fast racing from teams all over the United States, but our own dogs made us very proud. On the first day, Bree, Bunny and Chance won their next titles. They had a lot of clean runs and they've come a long way in the last couple of months. Hadley from Super Dog Flyball once again raced with us and helped with his clean runs. We also got a lot of assistance from our friends in this club and really enjoying playing flyball with them. On Sunday, Bree, Bunny and Chance each won yet another title and Chance broke his personal best record. Liberty was entered in Singles and got several clean runs. Later in the day, we put Banjo in the team line up and he did good and stayed out of trouble. It was well worth the trip and getting home in the wee hours. We're already planning our trip to nationals next year in Memphis.

Reggae Racers NAFA tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, October 7-8, 2007

This was our first NAFA tournament. We entered Bree, Chance, Bunny, Liberty and Banjo. Our first priority was running clean and the dawgs were a little overwhelmed in the beginning so we got off to a bit of a rocky start, but we got several good runs and even started working on improving passing times. This was definitely a learning tournament for us, but we had a lot of fun. Watch a video of one of our races this weekend.

Fun Fur All U-Fli tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, September 15-16, 2007

We took our first team to tournament, entering Chance, Liberty, Banjo and Bunny as a pick up team. We also invited Hadley from Superdogs to run with us. On Saturday, Bree ran her first singles race and she did awesome so we added her to the pick up team for Sunday. By the end of the day on Sunday, she and Chance were the most consistant dogs on the team. Chance earned his Top Flight I, and Liberty, Banjo and Bunny earned their Top Flight.

Flyball at the Oasis U-Fli tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, June 9-10, 2007

We're returning with the three Jack Russells, entering Bunny and Liberty as a pair and Banjo in singles. They all came away with several good times and clean runs. Chance also got the opportunity to run on a pick up team with our friends, Superdogs and earned his Top Flight title.

Margarita Mania U-Fli tournament - Triple Crown Dog Academy, May 19-20, 2007

Electric Dawg made their racing debut by entering all the Jack Russells, Bunny, Liberty and Banjo in singles racing. After a few rocky starts, we were proud to say that we finished the weekend with several clean runs and earned a lot of good experience for the dogs and ourselves. Most importantly, we made a lot of good friends.
