Raleigh, North Carolina      September 14th, 2004

Welcome to the DogGoneFast Fly Ball III!

Thank you for your entries; we are expecting 35 teams and we will have 1 ring.  Please check the other links on our web site for seed chart, format and racing schedule. (www.flyballdogs.com/doggonefast).

We have managed to provide each team with 35 to 36 heats. We have split the racing so that there is slightly more on Saturday.  We have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placements and be sure to visit our raffle table.

Aimee Walker (Rockefeller) has graciously agreed to be the Acting RD. Please see either Amanda (TD) or Aimee if you have any questions!

Racing Format

Teams are awarded 1 tournament point for each heat won, and an additional point for winning the race.  Ties will be broken by the best time posted in the division.  Warm-ups will be 1 minute on both days.  Please notify the judge if you do not need the entire warm-up period.

Venue Information

The Carolina Sportsplex will be open while we setup from 7pm to 9pm on Friday night; you may drop off your flyball boxes.   There is room for team crating in the racing building, it will be in the same rink as the racing lanes, but separated by the big blue cloth barricade that we usually use to divide the Holshouser building. You must put a tarp under your crating area to keep the astroturf clean and dry. Additionally we are requesting that you please refrain from eating and drinking inside the rink area (water for dogs is the only exception) as we are responsible for any damage to the astroturf.
Please note that this is a large facility and other groups will be using the building for their events. Please do not take your dogs into parts of the building that are not reserved for the flyball tournament! The ring that is reserved for flyball is at the back/right of the building. Please park along the right front side of the facility as there is an outdoor soccer tournament scheduled (weather permitting). We will post signs to assist you!
