8:00 - 8:30 Registration and Check-in at DKC

8:30 - 12:30 Lectures - THIS LIST EXPECTED TO CHANGE, WE ARE WORKING ON NEW LECTURES FOR THIS YEAR

Puppy Training Lecture:

  • Ball Retrieve
  • Creating Motivators
  • Recalls
  • Steps to Training the Game
  • Chase Games
  • Things to watch for while training
  • Introducing to Tournaments

Practices:

  • Exercises to run
  • Training new dogs
  • Running teams
  • Group praise
  • Practice length

Problem Solving:

  • Improving box turns
  • What to look for in a turn
  • Exercises to rid ball possessiveness
  • Creating more drive
  • Eliminating lane crossing

Running Teams/Tournaments:

  • Managing
  • Lineups
  • Exchanges/Passing
  • Handling Warm-ups
  • Analyzing and Recording Information
  • Preparing for a tournament

Box Designs:

  • What characteristics to look for in a box that will help your dog

12:30 - 1:00 Short break for Lunch

1:00 - 5:00 Work Individual Dogs: All Dogs Entered

   Evaluate your dog and provide solutions for areas to improve upon.

5:00 - finish Work Individual Dog Private Lessons followed by Team Private Lessons

   These private sessions may be video taped.  Please let us know if you need assistance taping your lesson.

8:30 - 9:30 Question and Answer Period

9:30 - 11:30 Work Each Dog Individually

11:30 - 12:30 Lunch

12:30 – 5:00 Work Passing/Head to Head Racing
