Welcome to the DogGoneFast Fly Ball II!

 

Thank you for your entries; we are expecting 34 teams and we will have 1 ring.  Please check the other links on our web site for seed chart, racing schedule, detailed directions/maps and a complete list of food sales (www.flyballdogs.com/doggonefast).

 

We have managed to provide each team with 34 to 36 heats. We have split the racing so that there is slightly more on Saturday.  Todd Morningstar is coming from Michigan to be our Supervising Judge and we are debuting two apprentice judges: Aimee Rockefeller and Geoff Brown.  Please give them a warm welcome. We have some fancy ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placements, a raffle and a bake table, and a prize table sponsored in large part by PetSmart.

 

 

Racing Format

Teams are awarded 1 tournament point for each heat won, and an additional point for winning the race.  Ties will be broken by the best time posted in the division.  Warm-ups will be 2 minutes on both days.  Warm-up time may be reduced to 90 seconds if necessary. Please notify the judge if you do not need the entire warm-up period. 

Regular 1,5 are running 1 RR 5/5, 1 RR 4/4

Regular 2&3 and Multi 1&2 are combined divisions, running 1 RR 5/5

Regular 4 and Multi 3 are running 2 RR 5/5 and 1 SE best of 3

 

Venue Information

The Holshouser building will be open until at least 9pm on Friday night; you may drop off your flyball boxes if you wish.  There is no room for team crating in the racing building, exceptions have been given for judges and for folks that have special needs.  If we have a very rainy day, we will make space to allow indoor crating.

 

Canine Celebrity Grudge Match Racing on Friday Night

Instead of the typical single-dog racing, we are having “grudge-match racing”.  Races are best 2 of 3 for $2 with proceeds are going to a local dog charity.  Challenge an opponent from another team!  Send your challenges to jmgemma@hotmail.com. Saturday Schedule:

Building opens at 7am

Boy scouts will be serving breakfast food starting at 7am

Height dog measuring starts at 7:15

Captain’s meeting at 7:45am

Racing starts at 8:00am

 

Sunday Schedule:

Building opens at 7:30am

Boy scouts will be serving breakfast food starting at 7:30am

Racing starts at 8:00am

Raffle prizes will be drawn at 2:00pm, racing will not stop for the raffle drawing

 

Food

We have arranged with a local Boy Scout troop to provide breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks on-site.  The complete list of food is available on our web site.  Several of the boy scouts and their parents are volunteering at our tournament; the food sales are a fundraiser for them.  Please consider “rounding up” your total when purchasing from the Scouts, we want to encourage them to return to this venue and we all need to support them!
