At 7 weeks of age, it was obvious that Bailey was a speed demon. She was named after Donovan Bailey (the fastest man in the world in 1997). "Busy" or "Brat" would have been suitable names too. This high-energy, tough, competitive, and sassy little CairnTerrier gets noticed whereever she goes. She was born to play. There is only one thing she loves more than playing ball and that is hunting gophers. In 1998, Bailey was ranked the #3 Cairn terrier in CKC conformation in Canada. |

In flyball Bailey always gave it her all! You could always tell when Bailey was in in the racing lanes - by the barking! She loved the game and was always enthusiastic. As a typical terrier, Bailey liked to do things her own way - she always stood just a few inches out of reach from her handler when the team was lining up to race again. Bailey took a little time off from flyball to have some pups now and then but when she came back her enthusiasm for the sport could not be mistaken. Bailey was only the 5th Cairn Terrier to achieve 5000 points. Bailey was a solid dog and helped to train a number of the green dogs in our flyball club. Her contribution to our club will always be remembered! |
