Shalom is a Swedish Vallhund who is a height
dog for Double Dog Dare, bringing jump heights down to nine inches. At
6 years old Shalom started his flyball career a bit late in life. By
his second tournament, he was running with his trademark
reliability. He turns in times consistently in the mid-6 range
and always tucks back in to get the first jump, even after a bad
catch. He is adaptable and can run any position in the lineup.

Agility was Shalom's first sport, and he holds upper level titles in three major agility organizations. He was
High in Trial at both the 2003 and 2006 Swedish Vallhund Club of America
National Specialties. In 2003 he also won the coveted Most Versatile
Vallhund
trophy at the Specialty, qualifying in herding and obedience, as well as
agility. He was the first Swedish Vallhund to receive an AKC title of
any kind. His son Wolfie also runs with DDD. |
