DDD's Hairy Houdinis Run Club-Best Time
Double Dog Dare's division 3 sub-team, Hairy Houdinis, set a club-best
time of 19.965 seconds at Flyball at the Peach Blossom in Perry, Georgia, in
April 2007. Running with that team were Rooster (Mix), Angus (Border
Collie), Huey (Whippet) and Roxie (Mix).
The club fielded two regular division
teams and one variety for this U-FLI event, which perhaps represented the
club's strongest showing in the year and a half that it has made Georgia its
home. The club has competed mostly at tournaments sanctioned by NAFA,
and this marks only it's second U-FLI appearance. As a result, the
dogs earned a lot of individual titles -- 18 in all spread among 12 dogs
that competed.
Bolstering the lineups were the return
of two dogs and handlers from the club's former South Florida home and the
addition of two new dogs and handlers from the Panhandle for this outing.
Also in attendance were the club's most recent graduate from its
Introduction to Flyball class -- not yet eligible to run -- and one of
its current students. The club looks forward to adding these dogs to
tournament lineups, and judging by the dogs' behavior, they look forward to
running.
