2006 Year of Accomplishment for Georgia Lineup
It has been nearly
a year since Double Dog Dare rooted itself firmly as
a Northeast Georgia flyball club. The Georgia lineup that came
together to compete for the first time in Huntsville February 2006 placed
second in its division and returned home determined to grow its membership
and to compete regularly.
In the 10 months that followed,
the club did both. The club graduated eight dogs from its Introduction
to Flyball class, five of which went on to compete and earn titles.
The club competed seven more times, one of which marked its debut as a
U-FLI-registered club. At NAFA®
events, the club's active dogs earned approximately 22,000 points and
brought home 24 titles.
All-in-all, it was a pretty
remarkable year, and the club looks for 2007 to be even more so. The club
is already off to a pretty good start, with it's highest pointed dog earning his
Onyx in January.
