He is the #4 Patterdale Terrier in NAFA!!! Gimli clocked in as the fastest Patterdale in U-Fli for 2006!

Fate, and the pressure of 5 years of Patterdale window shopping, brought Gim to us from the evil Petfinder.com email notification system. The darn thing tells you when your exact match hits the system! I got a notice that a 9 month old Pat pup had hit the wire - and his name was Hunter - this was Cosmo's name when he came to us. Ok, I get the message - it's time to get the Pat. So, we made a quick trip up to the Michigan Humane Society to pick up this pup that was turned in because, "Other dogs don't like him."

I've had a blast with Gim - he spent 5 months with me and my We Be Flyin' buddies out in California (Scott made me take him with me). Wags '04 was an event I'll never forget - Gim tried almost everything (we left the sheep alone…) and was amazing. Even the seasoned terrier folk were amazed at his go-to-ground debut.

Runs: flashy - must show everyone ALL his teeth. I learned how different it is to handle a terrier, and have fretted quite a bit about that terrier intensity. This one runs on power steering.

Favorite toy: Anything he can pull the stuffing out of.

Hobbies: Playing fetch with himself in the pool, blanket diving, and zoomies!

Gim got his full name, Gimli of Duvet-dum, from the Lord Of the Rings dwarf (he's our smallest dog), and from his deep desire to be under the covers. He actually sleeps in a dog bed with the zipper open - so he can climb in!

Gim's extremely cute, a good little boy - but ALL terrier.
