Splat! was born on May 15, 2004 in Memphis, Tennessee (only 15 minutes from Graceland)! His name was derived from his father's love of Jeeps and the southwestern United States' warning sign that "difficult trails lie ahead" (the Splat-man symbol). Little did we know how well he would fit into his new name! We found Splat's breeder (Patriot Kennels) on the internet and were very impressed with her lines and breeding program. Splat's Dad, Joe, (who hates flying) flew down to pick him up. It was a very big act of courage and bravery on both their parts and went off without a glitch! Splat was a perfect travel companion on the plane, no crying, barking or messing! Still can't believe this X-large Border Collie ever fit into that little Sherpa bag!! Now that Splat! is all grown up, you can catch him racing down the flyball lanes or chasing a Frisbee at a competition somewhere in the U.S. Watch out for this handsome little stud, because he is "on his way"...... |
