AKA: Miss Bunter Breed: Jack Russell Terrier DOB: 1-31-97 Jump Height: 8" Highest Title: ONYX |
I think when I got Hunter I was under the illusion I was getting a dog. However Hunter had other ideas, she figured she was clearly royalty. I'll admit I fed into it, don't want to walk? I'd carry her, Get wet/dirty/muddy? Absolutely not. Go for a bike ride? Sure as long as she can ride in a basket up front. When not eating, Hunter can be found sleeping in her 40 inch fleece snuggle ball, or watching animal planet from the back of the couch. She likes to be up high like a cat, and often follows the sun around the room as she naps. Hunter is one of those dogs who will do anything if the pay off is good enough. Even play flyball!! Thinking the whole game rather ridiculous she did humor me eventually and play. Her favorite part of the game besides the treat at the end of the lane, is the barking. You can always count on her to get the job done no matter how many heats or races, she never misses. That might mean she'd have to run down the lane again for free, unspeakable. Believe it or not she really likes to play agility, and will run her heart for me, or maybe it's because the treats are waiting?? Interesting fact Hunter is unilaterally deaf. Between you and me, I think she just has selective hearing; she never misses the call to dinner. |
Hunter raised the baby ducks for the Border Collies, she even learned to put them away in the barn at night. She was very gentle with them. |
