Canine Express Flyball Team was formed in 1980, long before there were titles, points, starting lights and tournaments.  Most of our team members live in Southeastern Michigan, which is a hotbed for flyball activity.  There is generally at least one tournament per month within driving distance and we compete in approximately ten tournaments per year.
Our Team is a member of The North American  Flyball Association (NAFA). There are 19 regions in NAFA in we are in region 1.

Canine Express  was one of the twelve teams to first make up the North American Flyball Association. The other remaing teams were:  Front Runners, ABC Obedience,
Hamilton Dog Training Club , Tri-cities Dog Training Club, Swansea Dog Obedience, J& J, Companion Dog Training Club, McCann vs McCann, Train'em Dog Training Center, Silver Collar Obedience Club and Double D Dog Training Club.

At one time Canine Express held a world record time of 24.9 seconds. Dogs run a lot faster now since the new flyball boxes, electronic starters and the development of the "Swimmers Turn" on the box.
Canine Express tries to run two to three teams in local tournaments. To see our results for this year Check out this link for our:  Latest Tournament  Results .

Our club believes flyball is a sport for all dogs and should be fun for everyone involved.
We are a diverse group club and have breeds like Dobermans, Vizslas,  Australian Shepherds, Belgian Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Jack Russell Terriers, and of course Border Collies, and don't forget our mixed breeds.
The fastest and most popular flyball breeds are the Border Collies. Jack Russell Terriers are very popular as height dogs to lower the jumps for the bigger dogs.
