Piper originally played flyball with the Afterburners but had to retire very early on in her career due to a really bad, kamikaze style box turn.  With over two years of re-training, Piper was happy to be able to be back in the flyball lanes.  Piper turned 11 in 2010 and decided it was time to leave flyball to the "kids".  She's still very happy to do restrained recalls and bark at the sidelines however!

 

Piper loves to live in typical Border Collie style--on the edge.  She's loud, fast and slightly out of control on the agility field, she will leap high into the air to catch that disc that should have been out of her reach and she will haul the dogsled at breakneck speeds just because she can!  Rumour has it that Piper is the smartest dog around and is definitely one of a kind.
