Hobbies: Retrieving (he is a Chessie), going through everything (he's a tank) and eating anything we'll give him.

Flyball History: Zack began training with the Buffalo Wings Flyball team in October 2001. He immediately showed all of us how easy it was to become a flyball dog to the detriment of his mom. He began to practice with the team during the winter house league in Brampton Ontario in January 2002. Of course this was after he figured out that it was more fun to get the ball out of the box than to kiss the boxloader each time it was his turn.

Zack scored 611 points in his very first tournament (May 2002) the current team record of the most points on a "newbie" dog's first tourney.

Strengths: : Zack is tireless, loves his teammates, (the human ones too). He can run first last or in the middle and goes over the jumps no matter what his mom has done to confuse him. He thinks he's the expert and he's right. Focused. Very focused.

Weaknesses: If you dropped the treat, it's his, if you've got a tug it's his and if you've got a ball, it's his. Coffee from anyone's cup is free game.

Meaning of Name: Beartown Yurok is an American Indian name. He's a "Y" litter from the Beartown Kennels in Stanbridge East Quebec owned by the Bordo's. Yurok means stream. Had to pick a masculine name for a mushy dog. We call him Zack because he looks like one and it definitely fit.
