| Pongo, then 3 1/2 months old, was found in a petshop. He was not even a clearance dog like Marley. He was a "free to go, we are losing money on him" dog! So I brought him home and gave up the idea of buying the expensive leather sofa I had been drooling over for about 2 months. I have not wanted a leather sofa since! Pongo's name does not come from the 101 dalmatians cartoon, but from an Italian brand of modelling polymer, similar to playdo. Pongo, once a skinny puppy, now at 2 years and 4 months of age weighs 90lb and is a very happy dog. After his puppy obedience classes, he started training in agility, and has been for about 1 1/2 years. He started flyball only 3 months ago and completed the beginners course. He is a fast learner, but I still wonder if he will ever be able to fit on the box, so as to perform a decent box turn! I (his guardian) also tried to make him become a Canine Good Citizen, but Pongo could not sit politely while a stranger was checking his coat and his teeth...he just had to jump up to kiss the stranger, turn around in circles while wagging his tail, and see if in the stranger's pockets there were any treats... oh well!
