Flyball Orientation for Puppies

 

 This course is intended to familiarize the puppy with the basic equipment use in the Flyball arena. It concentrates mainly on ball retrieval, recall skills, and motivation.

Because puppy joints are not fully developed until at least 12 months of age, exercises are designed to be extremely low impact.

Catching the ball at short distance
Short Recall
Long Recall
Ball Retrieval
Ball surrender - the OUT command
Target training - favourite toy or treat
Introduction to the Jumps - using mini jumps
Introduction to box work - using a low angle ramp
Familiarization with the Flyball box - sound and sight, no impact

AVAILABLE TO BARN STORMERS FLYBALL CLUB MEMBERS ONLY

Puppies must be at least 4 months of age and up to date on all vaccinations.
