Doodle

Doodle joined our family in March, 2003 and was about one-year old. During that first year of his life, he'd been turned in to an animal shelter by his original owners, then rescued, then placed in three more homes until he was considered unadoptable. I was asked to take him home to see what I could do with him, because he was scheduled to be put down a few days later. It was soon obvious why he was returned so often. He was (and still is) a very reactive and very intelligent little dog.....a not very good combination :)

He quickly learned flyball and became a reliable height dog.... no spectacular times, but that didn't matter. He never chased, never confronted another dog in the lanes, ran in any position, rarely made a mistake, loved his treat rewards and continued to run until a back problem forced him into retirement in July, 2009, just a couple thousand points short of Onyx. Now, he keeps watch at the front windows, knowing that sooner or later the mailman will appear, :)
