Bark'n Mad News
September 10 & 11, 2005 - Diamonds in the Ruff - Saskatoon
We ventured off to Saskatoon for our last tournament of the Season. This was a very successful tournament, with KC getting stronger each tournament and the handlers getting stronger at passing. Donna from Hotdoggers did a wonderful job box loading for us. Molly also from Hotdoggers developed a quick bond with Borris and he ran very well for her. We also competed in our first Multi-breed tournament as Bark'n Mad. Our one brag we earned that weekend was:
KC~ Flyball Dog Excellent
August 28 - Tailwind - Didsbury
We were very excited that we were able to attend Tailwind's second tournament for one day. Again, we were seeded in a very competitive division, but ran our seed time all day, and finished where we seeded ourselves. KC also came out to run in her first tournament and earn her first title. Our brags for this tournament were:
KC~ Flyball Dog
August 13 & 14, 2005 - Pawsative Energy - Sherwood Park
We completed our second of the home tournaments. It was great having another tournament at home during the summer. Both days we were in a very competitive division, but ended up running faster than our seed times, so we were very happy. We were also able to bring Storie out of her retirement to start playing again. She ran very well, keeping it together all weekend. Danielle from Tailwind did an amazing job running her and Trevor from Tailwind also did an amazing job box-loading for us, especially when we "forgot" to signal him the line-up. Our brags this weekend were:
Storie~Flyball Master Excellent (10,000 points)
Bark'n Mad New Best Time: 21.32
July 9 & 10, 2005 - Northern Power Paws - Edmonton
We completed in our first of back to back home tournaments. We also had our newest dog Hershey join us for her first tournament with us. With the help of Tailwind, we were able to run very well both days. We managed to finish first on Saturday and even though we finished fourth on Sunday we made it all the way to the final race in the elimination round. Our brags this weekend were:
Jigsaw~Flyball Dog
Champion Gold (2,500 points)

May 7 & 8, 2005 - Saskatoon River Runners
We left our region to venture to Saskatchewan for the Annual River Runners Tournament. River Runners always have a great tournament and this was year was no exception. Pete from Mach 4 was "our coach " again, and we welcome his advice. We ran clean and came in Second in our division both days, only loosing 3 races all weekend. We even managed write our name on the brag board quite a few times!!

With all the dogs finally healthy and in good shape we ventured off to our 2nd tournament. We had a rough start on Saturday, but with the help of Fern and the rest of the River Runners team, we managed to pull ourselves together and start running faster and faster. Our passes were getting better and Jigsaw was getting stronger and stronger each run. On Sunday, Pete from Mach 4, came out to the line as our coach. With his advise by Sunday afternoon we were running faster than we ever had!! Our brags for the weekend were:

March 12, 2005 - Calgary Canine Centre
This was Bark'n Mad's debut into the world of Region 12 Flyball. We didn't do as well as planned on as Sammi (one of our regular dogs) managed to injure himself by cutting a paw 2 days before the tournament. We had to scramble and replace him with our Mascot Oscar. Unfortunately, this meant replacing a 5.25 second dog with a 12 second dog We did have fun and accomplish our goal of getting Jigsaw more tournament experience. We did even manage to come home with some points. By the end of the day, we had fellow flyballers watching and cheering on Oscar!!
