TRON

Tron (short for MegaTron) was rescued from animal control by Southern Ontario Border Collie Rescue  in November 2002.   He had previously been kept in an apartment and relieved himself on the balcony.  Consequently Tron (formerly Wyler) was not well socialized, barked a lot, and was not reliably housetrained.  A 6 month stay with SOBC Rescue alleviated much of this situation, but there’s always more work to do.   He is now housetrained, barks a little less, knows basic obedience, and likes to play flyball. 

Tron came to be adopted at 2 years of age, in May 2003 He joined his new sister Ceilidh, and they are now fast friends. Tron is very high-spirited and energetic, a master escape artist, with jumps like Nureyev, but he is also a cuddler and loves to please.

Tron is a smooth border collie with some other breed possibly mixed in (whippet?). He has a half-length tail, which was probably injured during birth as he has a little crook of tiny bones at the end.

Tron lives for a game of fetch, with anything…..so this drive is put to good use as he has become an active member of Ballderdashers. He has two gears – full ahead and stop, so his Mom has built up amazing arm muscles from trying to find a middle gear.

Tron is very competitive and will often look at the competition while running to keep track of his position. His speed is very consistent 4.1s to 4.2s with a best time of 4.09. Tron has now earned his ONYX badge.

He is a sweetheart who still can’t get enough of the world that surrounds him, and will always keep his mother on her toes.
