Phoebe is a very energetic beagle, and
is quite vocal while playing flyball. We first read
about the game in a Beagle book. The article was about Blitzen
who was at the time NAFA's #2 Beagle, who is owned
and handled by Lee Kouski, and his flyball debut. At the time I really didn't know how the
game was played, but it sounded like fun. Then shortly after, while channel
surfing one evening we came across the show Top Dogs, and the segment was
talking about flyball. Phoebe who was snoozing on the
couch, perked up, and watched that show right to the end. A year after we began
our training, Phoebe ran in her first tournament on Mothers Day weekend 2001 in
Phoebe is currently NAFA’s #1 Beagle (Apr. 26, 04). And she is the first
Beagle to receive the ONYX title, and halfway to her FGDCh
title!! She has been a challenge to train. But the rewards are well worth it. I
am so proud of her each and every time she races. Her fastest time over
8” jumps is 4.98, and over her height 11” is 5.06! She amazes me
with her speed, and agility every day.
Phoebe is also training in
obedience, freestyle obedience, rally obedience, tracking, and agility. We hope
to one day also achieve some obedience titles, right now we are having too much
fun in flyball and agility. Phoebe has been training
and competing in agility since fall of 2002. She has qualifying runs in CKC,
AKC, and NADAC. We hope to get a few agility titles in 2004. Phoebe also as
lure coursed and loved it; we look forward to the fun run each year, and have
found a group coursing for fun so she will have the chance to run more often!
We are also starting to work on dock diving, and we hope to have a dock diving
beagle by the end of the summer. Phoebe is a Unique Beagle, and I hope to do
many more things with her. She loves to be in the spotlight, and I hope she
will be throughout her life.

Phoebe has been busy…. She now has her NAFA FG40K earned at the All about
Pets Show in Toronto Mar.26, 2006!!! She has many titles and legs in Agility in
various organizations CKC, AKC, NADAC, AAC…. She also has two CARO Rally
obedience titles RNMCL and RACL!!!
On November 28, 2006 Phoebe is
#241 on the NAFA Top Dog List!

Also we have a new dog sport….
DOCK DIVING! Here is Phoebe at her debut dock diving event at the Rocket Relay Flyball Tournament in Binbrook,
she loved it! Summer 2006.
The Beagle does Rally Obedience…..
Phoebe has her CARO RNMCL, and RACL… we are working on Excellent.
She also has AKC Rally legs –
we hope to get our AKC Novice title next month in
