Magic
DOB: February 23, 1990
LIKES: Water play - chasing the
hose, the sprinkler and swimming, loves to play flyball, catch frisbee's and do
agility. Magic also loves to chase the air from hair dryers and insists in
helping to keep the vacuum moving. She is also very experienced at unwrapping
Christmas presents.
DISLIKES: The bath (when soap is
used), and toenail clipping.
On Flyball: Magic has been happily playing flyball since 1991
and has achieved her Double Onyx. She is a very steady flyball
dog, and has played all positions on the Ball der Dashers flyball team.
Other Activities: Magic obtained her CDX and 1 leg on her UD
before mother gave up because Magic was trying to complete all ways possible to
fail her UD; including barking and herding her mother!
At the tender age of 10 years old she obtained her AKC Novice
Jumpers with Weavers, and two legs of Novice Standard at her first trial. Magic
has dabbled in tracking at camp and every morning when she has to find the toy
Sprint 'lost' in the woods.
Magic has done demonstrations in flyball, frisbee, and agility
with three top teams, Superdogs, McCanns's and Nutram. Performances include:
Toronto Sportsman's Show, Royal Winter Fair - where she paired with a horse in
the Combined relay to win First place in 1998, Indianapolis Outdoor Show,
Ancaster Fall Fair, Progressive Conservative Picnic, Sudbury Kennel &
Obedience Show, Credit Valley Dog Show, All about Pets, and Downsview Canada
Day Celebration. Truly a well rounded dog. Her picture was even on an
advertisement for NeoPaws dog boots (while playing flyball).
Magic is a happy dog and whether competing or training she
always has a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.
