Waffles
You
can find gold at Anchorage Animal Care and Control, and Waffles
proves it. First thought to be a Golden Retreiver-Hamster cross,
time revealed herding instincts (mostly cats) and the body of
an Australian Shepherd. Initially hesitant in new situations,
Waffles took agility to challenge herself. With her new confidence
she began training for a life in the circus, practicing deeds
of daring on local playground equipment. In between, she applied
all-over mud facials in preparation for the glare of the big top.
Fortunately for those who treasure this gentle soul it looks like
flyball will keep her from joining the circus, at least in the
near future. A bit of a party girl, Waffles loves the chase and
sees the relay as a continuous revolving game of "catch me
if you can." Flyball has become her new raison d'être.
Don't let her name fool you, she plays to win!
