Valentine

2003 - 2011
Valentine was born in December 2003, mothered by a Jack Russell Terrier and fathered by a mystery man. She came to me as a rescue that I fostered for Kitty and K9 Connection, a local all-breed rescue group. She was apparently not good enough for her previous owner because when I got her (2 days before Valentines Day) she was 8 weeks old and had a broken leg due to an "accident." After a couple of months she was placed in a good home...and I was missing her terribly! Two months later Valentine was returned to rescue due to allergies. I was now convinced that we were supposed to be together and signed the papers. Valentine spent her days at work with me (and her pug sibilings). She loved to play ball, tug-of-war, and most especially loved to jump!
Valentine passed away on 7/20/11 from an internal spread of cancer. She was a very special soul. Her absense has left a huge hole in my heart and an emptiness at my side, as that was where she was for 7 years. I know she was loved by many and that many saw the specialness within her.
