Phoebe
CGC
Despite
her tawdry beginnings (we found her in-heat, wandering in Spenard
on a Friday night), Phoebe has secured her special place in our
hearts and home. Our best guess is that she was born in October 1997. Although she is quite the "Zen" dog (with
a quiet, calm, centeredness that I envy), Phoebe can really turn
on the speed and has lots of skill and enthusiasm for agility, flyball,
chasing her brother Rio, and rolling in really stinky stuff!
In the fall of 2007, at the age of 10, Phoebe began favoring her rear left leg. Diagnostic X-Rays revealed that she had a pin in her hip and associated arthritis. With this diagnosis, coupled with her age, we decided to end her competitive flyball career. Phoebe's retirement activities include Ralley Obedience classes and exploring the woods during long walks.
