Jessie was born on 4/21/01 and joined the family of Jim, Pam, Sophie (border collie), and Blue (the cat) Holen in June 2001. She was Gold Streaked from RedTop Kennels in Caldwell, Idaho. The breeder, Patrick Shannahan, is a well-known competitive sheep herder and has an excellent line of intelligent, healthy, and born-to-please border collies. Jessie has far outreached our expectations as a great family member and strong contender in agility – she finished her AKC Excellent Agility and Jumpers w/Weaves and her NADAC Elite Open, Jumpers, and Gamblers certificates within three years. She has her CGC, checked out the sheep, dabbled in obedience, and now plays with the “big dogs” in flyball.
Jessie is a calendar girl, appearing in BrownTrout Calendars for the past three years. She can be found in four 2007 calendars and is the cover girl for the hard-backed 2007 slim diary for Border Collies. Jessie is our greeter for our bed and breakfast Dragonfly Gardens B&B. She loves people and greets our guests every morning by asking to join them for breakfast.
